Candidates who apply for permanent residency to Canada have to pay government fees.
Fees Required by the Canadian Authorities
There are two fees to be paid when applying for immigration to Canada: processing fee and Right of Landing Fee (ROLF).
This fee is payable by the principal applicant, the accompanying spouse and the accompanying children above 22 years old; but unlike the processing fee, it is refundable if an Immigrant Visa is not issued or used, or if the application is withdrawn. The ROLF can be paid at any time during the application process, but must be paid before an Immigrant Visa can be issued. The following applicants are not required to pay this fee:

The ROLF is required of every adult aged 19 or over in the family but, unlike the processing fee, is refundable if an Immigrant Visa is not issued or used, or if the application is withdrawn. Fees Required by the Quebec AuthoritiesThe Quebec authorities require a fee for applicants who wish to settle in the province of Quebec. This fee is payable at the beginning of the procedure and is non refundable in case of refusal. This fee is in addition to the ones required by the Canadian authorities. Processing fees:
